Math Detectives

Students spent much of last weeks math time working in pairs. They were given division problems to solve and could use either strategy that works for them. Students supported each other by sharing their thinking and by analyzing each others work. Pairs showed their work on the Elmo and explained their problem solving process to the class. Classmates had to be math detectives to determine if each process solved the problem correctly, and if friends had used the most efficient strategy.
