The strategy shown below is a great example of efficiently solving the given problem. The team showed all of their work and labeled each number they used. Labeling each number used to solve helps determine if the final answer is reasonable and is effectively answering the question. It is very easy to get confused when solving word problems. It is essential that students label ALL work and answers.

Keegan was correct!

While discussing our read aloud book, Keegan made a connection to our very own Kansas City Chiefs running back, Jamaal Charles. Keegan told our class that he had learned Jamaal competed in the Special Olympics because he had a learning disability. I was unsure if this was correct, but Keegan was right!
