THE IPADS ARE HERE!

WOW! Excitement is in the air! Students received their IPads and we are learning the basics this week. We are exploring the apps, taking lots of pictures, and asking lots of questions. Remember, if you have questions, let us know! We will do our best to help out in any way that we can. As soon as the covers arrive, students will be bringing their IPads home so you can explore all the IPad has to offer! Have a great week!

IPAD TIME!!!

Greetings from 4th grade! January has been such a busy month that it went by in a blur! There is nothing to sign and return this week. Check out the reminders below and I’ll see you soon!
This week I just have a few reminders for you.
**Be sure your child has a winter coat each day.
**Remember to check on your child’s reading at home...TALK to them about whatever they are reading. ASK questions about the text. (It can even be as simple as “Do you like that book? Why?)
**Have your child spend some of their at-home reading time reading OUTLOUD to you. This will improve fluency and will give you a better idea of what questions to ask.
**Practice multiplication AND division facts at home. Use the packets that were sent home in December!

Listed below are important dates! Take a minute to put them on your calendar so you don’t miss any of the exciting events at Lindbergh!

Tis' The Season!

Dear Families,
Here’s a list of things to remember for next week and January!

DATES TO REMEMBER:
Mon, Dec 19: Math Benchmark
Tues, Dec 20: Christmas program
(dress rehearsals at 9 and 10)
(night show at 6:30)

Weds, Jan 4: First day back!
Fri, Jan 6: 2nd quarter grade cards sent home

Students have decided that they would like to have a game and movie party for the Christmas party. Students are welcome to bring board and/or card games to play at the party. Please remember that games will be open to all classmates to play. We will be careful with all games that are brought in!

Please remember to send $1 for the pizza party. Students can bring in a drink of their choice to enjoy with the pizza. If a student forgets their drink, they may get a milk. You may send treats with your child to share, but make sure they are store bought and unopened.

Thank you for 2 awesome quarters! It has been a pleasure working with your child AND each of you! Enjoy the holidays with your family! See you in January!

A Few Reminders From Miss Simmons… ☺

**Thank you for attending your child’s conference! It was great to chat with you!
**Remember to always check the Friday folders for information about current and future events at Lindbergh and around the community.
**2nd quarter is underway and the expectations of each student are getting higher and higher! Practice multiplication facts every night until they become natural!
**Continue to talk to your kiddo about their reading. We don't want any "fake" readers! Ask them questions about the characters and plot of their texts. They love to talk about their reading! If they can't tell you about their book, then they're not really reading!
**Thank you for everything you do!

Here's what we've been up to...
