Progress Reports Are Coming Home!

Greetings Families! 

Third quarter is halfway over, which means that we are on the downward slide into fourth quarter! Coming home today is your childs Progress Report. Keep in mind that we have about 4 weeks left in the quarter so with hard work there is still time to raise any/all of these grades! Please continue to check the green folder each evening and go over graded work with your child. Also, continue to help your child complete the nightly homework. While at school students are being reminded to check their work and reminded to be sure that what they turn in is of good quality. They are also being given opportunities to redo work.

Please sign one copy of the progress report and have your child return it to school Monday.

Valentines Day Party Info

Our Valentines Day party will be Thursday, February 11 from 2:00-3:10. Students should bring a box or bag to collect their Valentines. Also, if you send a card or treat for one, you must send something for all! (unless of course, you send something for your own child). Glass and/or balloons cannot be taken onto the bus, so please don’t send these items unless your child has another way to get home.

The strategy shown below is a great example of efficiently solving the given problem. The team showed all of their work and labeled each number they used. Labeling each number used to solve helps determine if the final answer is reasonable and is effectively answering the question. It is very easy to get confused when solving word problems. It is essential that students label ALL work and answers.
